The products which are required to clean the carpet are mostly expensive and mostly they contain the products which you can easily found at home. Mostly the owners are always worried that how they have to spend so much money on maintenance. No worries, using the products which are available at home can also give the same effect and your carpet will be fresh and clean.

  • Vinegar

One of the best ways for carpet cleaning is to use vinegar. All you have to do is mix ¼ cup of vinegar with lukewarm water (equal amount). Apply the solution on a brush and start rubbing the brush on the affected area. You will notice the stain is fading away. If the affected area is big then prepare the mixture accordingly. Once you are done, take water and rinse off the stained area. Remember to squeeze out the excess water from the carpet.

  • Rubbing alcohol

If by chance you drop nail polish on the carpet you can use rubbing alcohol to get rid of the stain. Soak a clean cloth in the rubbing alcohol and rub it on the stain. By doing this, it will immediately remove the stain.

  • Hot water

No one likes oil and grease stain on the carpet. But, it is unfortunate that you might have ruined your carpet by dropping oil on it. You have to dip the carpet into hot water. By doing this, the oil particles will be removed from the carpet and this makes easy to remove the stain.

  • Use Vacuum

To maintain and increase the lifetime of the carpet you should vacuum it regularly. Additionally, it will remove the dust and debris from the carpet surface.

  • Use a stick

If you want a very simple method, then hang the carpet under the sun for at least 2 hours. After that, put the carpet on a flat surface and start brushing it with a carpet brush. This will help to remove the stain, dust, oil and other small particles which might have stuck on the carpet. You should at least do this once a week.

  • Lemon juice

To get rid of ink and other stubborn stain lemon juice is very effective. Apply the juice on the carpet and leave it there for one to two hours. After that, sponge the affected area with warm water and do this very gently so that it does not become sticky. Let the carpet dry at room temperature.

  • Baking Soda

     Another way is to use baking soda on the affected area. Using this cleaning agent will not only remove the stain but it also helps to get rid of bad odor. Sprinkle the baking soda on the stain and then spray some hot water. Once it is completely dry, vacuum the area to get rid of baking soda.
